According to the Law of Ukraine "On state regulation of production and turnover of alcoholic beverages, ethyl, cognac, fruit alcohol and tobacco products" – export, import and wholesale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products can be carried out only under the license permit.

Fee for the license is paid every year to the state budget under the current legislation. The amount of payment for the license is 780 UAH per year. Payment for the entire validity term of the license by a single payment is not permitted.

Business entities that have received a license for the export of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products, can trade, supply to entities of retail and wholesale products, other consumers only if there is a license for wholesale trade .

In case of delay of payment the license becomes suspended until the payment of debts. If the delay exceeds 30 calendar days, the licensing authority initiates cancellation of the license.

Licenses for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products must be obtained separately.

 SANCTIONS

Fines applied in the case of wholesale (including import and export) and retail of ethyl, cognac and fruit alcohol, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products without a license – 200% of the value of consignment, but not less than 17 000 UAH (instead of 1700 hryvnia)
