The most popular berries in Ukraine
There are a huge number of berries in our country, but not all of them are often used in cooking or consumption. According to the production quantity, the most popular types are:
- strawberry;
- raspberry;
- blackberry;
- currant;
- blueberries and blueberries
Currants, strawberries and cranberries are grown much less professionally. This rating is also justified by the indicators of the type: how high the yield is, the organoleptic characteristics of the berry (taste, aroma and bright color), resistance to diseases and unpretentiousness in cultivation, as well as versatility of use.
How is the preparation of raw materials
In order for berries from farms or enterprises to get to processing plants, proper preparation is needed. After harvesting, it is necessary to sort: select berries with external defects (color changes, rot, skin damage, etc.), as well as unripe fruits. In some cases, the berries are sorted by size and appearance, which then determines their price.
